Natural healing body care made from the cedar tree

Margaret Simpson is the proud founder and owner of White Cedar Remedies, which offers natural, handcrafted body care products for pain relief and skin care.

Margaret Simpson, also known as Cedar Medicine Woman, is deeply passionate about helping individuals with their health and wellness needs. He has extensively studied various forms of complementary and alternative medicine, from aromatherapy to reflexology, and believes in the healing power of naturopathy.

Simpson is the proud founder and owner of White Cedar Remedies, which offers all-natural body care products for pain relief and skin care.

The first product created by Simpson was a topical pain reliever, which has been successfully on the market in various stores for 12 years.

Now, after the success of the topical pain medicine, Simpson decided to create a second product for skin care. Her name is Wha-Bonga-La, a word Simpson coined, meaning good skin care.

Simpson has founded White Cedar Remedies and runs a home health and wellness studio called Cedar Medicine Woman Wellness Studio in Thunder Bay’s east end. The studio provides a range of wellness services including reflexology, cupping therapy, ionic foot bath detox sessions, and more.

Simpson was born and raised in Toronto. He moved to Thunder Bay in 2006 and attended Confederation College, where he studied Aboriginal Law and Advocacy. She immersed herself in the aboriginal culture and lifestyle in her spare time. After graduating, Simpson continued his exploration of traditional medicine.

The origins of White Cedar Remedies began when Simpson visited a healing center at Pic River Heron Bay in the mid-2000s. There, a charming local elder gave her the spirit name ‘Cedar Medicine Woman’.

After visiting several sweat lodges, a medicine man guides him to work with cedar trees to create something that can help people in pain.

“Cedar is known as the tree of life,” Simpson said. “It offers many health benefits.”

Soon after Simpson started working with cedar trees, he developed the ‘White Cedar Remedy’, which has been very successful today.

At first, Simpson’s main goal was to help people who were suffering from substance abuse detox. The positive feedback he received led to his widespread adoption.

His family and friends began using the cream for various painful conditions and found that it helped reduce the pain, so he continued to refine the formula.

While developing the white cedar medicine, he lived in Cobourg, where he attended his elderly parents. Both parents experienced positive results from white cedar medicine. His father had post-polio syndrome, while his mother had full-body contractions due to Alzheimer’s disease.

The ‘White Cedar Remedies’ business started in 2012, when Simpson took a business start-up course through the Northumberland Community Futures Development Corporation.

After completing the course, the White Cedar Remedies business plan was successfully implemented and has been thriving ever since.

Simpson always wanted to help people who were looking for natural healing. He is pleased to know that his products have contributed to helping people live healthier lives with less pain.

He likes to hold pop-up demonstrations at stores that sell his products because it allows him to engage with the community and meet diverse people.

“We live in a fast-paced society,” Simpson said. “It’s time to slow down and enjoy what Mother Earth has to offer us. Peace and tranquility.”

It brings me great joy to hear positive feedback from people from all walks of life who have benefited from the amazing products he has worked so hard to create.

The overall response has been overwhelmingly positive, despite initial skepticism. After people start using the product, their perspective changes. Consumers report that the product effectively helps relieve and manage pain.

The new skin care cream created a sensation in the market, with sales soaring.

As White Cedar Remedies continues to achieve success, Simpson hopes that people will recognize the product as 100% all-natural, proudly handmade in Canada, and affordable, with the added benefit of enriching life through its health benefits.

“I want to express my gratitude to all my customers for their support and positive feedback,” Simpson said. “A big thank you to all the local businesses that do White Cedar Medicine.”

White Cedar Remedies plans to expand nationally, selling its products across Canada. In addition, the company will host pop-up demos and markets throughout the Thunder Bay area.

As White Cedar Remedies continues to expand, Simpson is looking forward to the future and what the coming years hold.

“Live life to the fullest every day,” Simpson said.
